The Expendables - Really Quite Disappointing

Finally got to see the Expendables yesterday. It really was quite disappointing - I would have thought that with all the hype and a relatively high IMDB.com rating the movie would have been good, but it really was quite pointless - and if all we were after here was some action, well, the movie could have used some more. The best part about the movie was seeing Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger deliver their lines. There's really no plot to ruin here, but if you'd like to see them deliver some cheesy but interesting lines followed by Jason Statham indulging in some of his most violent and superhuman form of 'fighting', watch it. I was quite disappointed and I don't look for a plot or some intellectual meaning from most movies. If it entertains, it does what it was meant for - but this didn't even completely deliver in that department. |
